To address student and staff social-emotional needs, Northside is working with our building partner, JEMS 126, to provide an additional social worker to support students with mental health needs. This position is shared by both schools. Additionally, Northside has a social worker and three additional school counselors that are available to support social-emotional needs of students. We also run an advisory program, 4-days out of the week. Part of that program is used to do check-ins with students and to run restorative practice circles and mental health check-ins to support student’s readiness for learning.
