HISTORY

Where we came from

Northside Charter High School was authorized and granted a charter in 2009 from the Board of Regents of the State of New York as part of the Believe High School Network. The focus at Northside Charter High School was student achievement and outcomes leading to graduation and successful entry into higher education opportunities.

Northside Charter High School began its history as part of the Believe Charter Network and under former management was placed on probation for violations of the school’s charter. A new Board was established in 2012 and since that point forward has continued to be in full compliance with the school’s charter and New York State regulations.

Northside Charter High School has graduated four cohorts from 2013-2016. Graduation rates have ranged from 85% to 95%. Current enrollment for 2016-17 is 405.
